Yes they’re all 5 star but if you’re like us then there’s always those niggling doubts in the back of your mind such as : Are the reviews genuine? Are they really that good? Are they reliable? etc etcWell our garage is now converted so let me put your mind at rest. YES the reviews are genuine and in our opinion Sheffield Garage Conversions ltd is a superb company.Michael oversaw the job from start to finish. His vision and advice were really helpful. He visited the site pretty much every day and sometimes twice per day. His communication with us was excellent and he reassured us about any concerns we had throughout the process. Everything he promised was done and completed to a top standard.From the bricklayer, plasterer’s, plumber and electrician all arrived as promised and all did a great job for us. Everyone was polite and respectful, efficient, clean and tidy.A special thanks goes to Jack and Blaiden who worked on the project every day for almost 6 weeks. Jack is so precise and methodical and his work is outstanding. Blaiden too has the same mindset and made sure everything was spotless before they left each day. If they were our lads we’d both be super proud of them!Thank you all for doing such a brilliant job for us we now have a lovely new utility, toilet and an extra room.Mark and Diane

When we chose this company we read their excellent reviews, and what I can say now our project is completed, is that what others had said has also been our experience. We are so happy with the completed work on our old garage. The team were efficient, professional, friendly and listened to us. They turned up when they said they would, they cleared up after themselves, they finished the job on time, paid attention to details and have done a great job. I cannot recommend Sheffield Garage Conversions... ENOUGH!Michael & his team have done an absolutely amazing job converting what was once a garage & outhouse into a beautiful extra bedroom, utility room & toilet. We are delighted! It's actually better than we imagined.Michael & his lovely son Bladen were so pleasant & polite & we were immediately put at ease with their cheerful & friendly manner. We never felt uncomfortable leaving them with a key to our home whilst we went to work & we knew they'd take extra care around our two elderly pugs which they did.The conversion has been completed to a very high standard by Michael, Bladen & the other professionals that Michael brings in (electricians, bricklayers etc). Nothing was too much trouble for Michael & he was very accommodating with late changes to our plans. They were with us for just over 3 weeks & at the end of every day they cleaned up after themselves & apart from a tiny bit of dust here & there you'd never have known they'd been in that day.Do not hesitate to choose Sheffield Garage Conversions, you wont be dusappointed. We are going to book Michael again for some more work later in the year!

We have previously used SGC for our garage conversion and we were really impressed with everything so we had them again to do an extention on our room. Michael & Bladen work really hard, are professional and are always on time and their work is excellent and the additional trades they use do excellent work and are really considerate and professional. Michael always discusses the work they are doing and will work with the customer to make sure you are happy with everything and will go through any queries and alterations that maybe required. They complete works in good time and as planned and are always considerate and respect that they are working in your home. I can’t speak highly enough of Michael and his team. They did a superb job and kept me aware of issues as we went along, came in at quoted value.We had the wall moved between the kitchen and garage which Michael coordinated with the ArchitectWe had nightmares with our electrics that Michael took in his stride, he communicated and resolved all issues with other trades.I found Michael a great person to work with, approachable, easy to talk to and always starting early at 8am. Often still being there past 5.But the stand out feature - Every night he would sweep and mop, keeping mess and disruption to a minimum, which with a dog and a 5 year old was excellent.I would use Sheffield Garage Conversions again, I just haven’t got another Garage!Liam B

Companies big and small have logos, catch phrases and one liners that are supposed to make them stand out from the rest. In my experience these are very rarely accurate and often misleading.Sheffield Garage Conversions logo is " Bringing Dormant Spaces to Life".With this company not only is it very accurate, not misleading in the slightest but understates what they do.Michael and his team have transformed an unloved double garage into a well proportioned light and airy desirable living space that maximises every inch of possible space.On the start date they arrived on time, and on every day until the job was completed they arrived on time.The working area was kept clean and tidyThe structural work that is hidden from sight when the building is finished included removing a concrete floor, changing the roofing trusses without removing the roof, building internal walls installing a concrete floor and constructing the internal walls.The garage now consists of a ground floor containing a kitchen, bathroom, and sitting area and a mezzanine floor with a bedroom accessed by a new staircase.It has central heating, plumbing, new wiring and new windows.The transformation was completed in just eight weeks.Michael and his team not only had a high level of expertise in their chosen trade but were always friendly and polite. All the work has been completed to a high standard.Michael himself was always very enthusiastic and strove constantly to give me the home I wanted.He was very approachable, easy to talk to and encouraged me to be as involved with the build as he clearly was. He often made suggestions to improve the project.When I asked him to incorporate changes, we discussed them and his attitude was a "can do" one.The company clearly has expertise in this type of work.They handled everything from conception, architects drawings and planning through to completion.I would definitely recommend Sheffield Garage Conversions .

We’ve just had our garage converted by the team at Sheffield Garage Conversions and they have done an excellent job from start to finish. Michael obviously takes pride in doing a good job and was very organised with everything happening on schedule. They were there early every day and work progressed very quickly and has been done to a high standard. We recently had our garage converted by Sheffield Garage Conversions. We would like to say how extremely happy we are. Our garage was previously a home to many spiders and used for storage. It has now been converted to a second living space and downstairs Shower Room/w.c. Personalised service. Garage conversion, installation of UPVC patio doors and utility door. Michael is approachable and keeps you informed of the job and how it will unfold and the tradesman that will be working with him. Very competitive price. Excellent standard of workmanship and understanding of what the customer wants and what is achievable. Whilst conversion was in progress Michael and his team cleaned the area at the end of each day. I would recommend and use his services again. More photos to be added once the new kitchen is installed. Very satisfied customer.

Michael and his crew did a fantastic job and it looks exactly the way we dreamed it would.Everything was cleaned up brilliantly at the end of each day…should Michael ever give up the building trade, he could walk in to a job as a contract cleaner no problem! HahaEven though we added a few things to the original quoted plan, Michael was more than accommodating to our requests, and went above and beyond with everything.5 stars doesn’t seem anywhere near enough for the quality of work carried out. Sheffield Garage Conversions have done an absolutely fantastic job building a new bathroom in what used to be our garage. Michael takes a very strong pride in doing a really top quality job, with great attention to every detail, and the result is a bathroom that looks superb.We appreciated that they were always really clear with us about the timescale which they then kept to and once they were on the job, the quality of their work was absolutely outstanding. Coordination of the plumbing and electrical work was smooth and that work was also excellent.Michael was also dead straight to deal with, and once we had discussed something it was always done exactly as had been agreed, which was very much appreciated.It was also really good to see the high standard of the on-the-job training which meant that all the work Ethan did was also of the highest quality.All in all, we couldn't be more pleased with the work they have done, and are delighted with the bathroom that they have created for us.Having experienced their work for us, it is no surprise that they have so many 5 star reviews, and we too would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering having a garage conversion done.

Michael and the team have recently finished both converting our garage into a useable room and relocating a wall to extend our kitchen space partway into the unused space.The conversion was completed far quicker than we expected and from the outside you'd never know we ever had a garage. Despite removing an interior wall the level of mess was kept to an absolute minimum and they always cleaned up after themselves.The entire team were friendly, punctual, hardworking and took every effort to make sure the final product was exactly what we wanted. Julie and I are very pleased to have chosen Sheffield Garage Conversions. Having some mobility problems, we decided the best thing to do for me was to have the garage converted. This would be self contained including a wet room, all fully accessible for me in my electric wheelchair.At the start I discussed my requirements with Simon and Michael and they were very helpful with the design and layout, particularly focusing on my disability. We were also keen for the outside brickwork and window to match our existing front.Michael and his team are very friendly, professional, conscientious, hard working, punctual and always cleaned up every day. I’m really pleased on how the garage has been transformed and how much larger it seems too! This has given me more independence, freedom of movement and I feel safer in my new environment. It has also made a big difference in the general warmth of the house now the cold garage has gone!Their costing, timing and quality of the work was spot on and they certainly don’t cut corners. Simon, Michael and their team did a fantastic job on our garage conversion and rear extension. They provided input and recommendations where asked, modified the plans and took on additional work as the work progressed. All the craftsmen were polite and respectful, worked consistently and were as tidy as possible during a significant build. Had Sheffield Garage Conversions complete the conversion of our unused garage into a play room for our son.We could not be happier with the service provided by every member of the team involved (plumber, electrician, plasterer, painter etc.), all were extremely professional and with each job performed to the highest detail. Sheffield Garage Conversions recently completed a project in our home.This included remodelling the entire downstairs of our house, building new walls whilst knocking some down, fitting a new kitchen and bi-fold doors, remodelling our utility room to make it a more useable space and adding a downstairs toilet. It turned into a larger project than we anticipated, and Michael and his team were accommodating to any changes we suggested, offering their knowledge along the way.We got in touch after a recommendation, Simon came round to discuss our project and offered suggestions on how we could best use the space we had. In the lead up to the work starting Michael was in regular contact which was really useful for planning and ensuring we could get started as soon as the guys were available.The team were always punctual, polite and Michael takes as much pride in having a tidy work place as he does in his work. Sheffield Garage conversions carried out a garage conversion on our property in summer 2020. They converted an integral double garage (very much under-used and cluttered with rubbish) into a utility room and downstairs w/c and a single garage for storage.Simon, Michael and Annette were great from the start...helpful, answering questions promptly and keeping us up-to-date during a very trying year. On-site, Michael managed the work and frankly he's the tidiest builder I've ever come across.The utility room looks great now, as does the garage and we're really pleased with the results. I would really recommend them, and we will most likely use them again when we have our kitchen knocked through into a kitchen-diner.

Positives : Professionalism, perfectionists, punctual, hardworking, friendly , considerate, Covid secure.Our garage conversion was completed nearly 2 weeks ago and we are very pleased with the finished room. Our conversion plans began in March 2020 , but were interrupted by Covid. However we met with Simon outside and held several discussions about the room. He listened, made helpful suggestions and kept us informed by emails. His experience and enthusiasm helped us find our perfect solution. His quote was fair and all of the work then was managed well by Simon and Annette. In January this year, before lockdown, work began with a team brilliantly led by Michael. The planned schedule was achieved with a perfect finish. Michael and his team were hardworking and delivered a high quality finish. They were punctual, informative, hardworking, well organised and friendly , especially considerate of covid security throughout. Each day the site was left clean and tidy. Michael is a perfectionist , so all details were as we requested. The final finish is to a very high standard and we are pleased we chose this company.We now have a room that has many potential functions : office, playroom , hobby room even a bedroom. It is a hobby room for my husband. We are amazed and thrilled with what has emerged from a dark, underused single garage. Well Done to the whole team

Sheffield Garage Conversions have just completed our project, which involved converting our double garage into a large bedroom complete with an en suite and a separate study.When we first contemplated the conversion we trawled the internet looking for local companies who undertook and specialised in this type of work. It was then we came across Simon's company and noted the amazing reviews.Having made contact, we met with Simon on several occasions, to discuss our needs and requirements and after receiving their quotation asked them to undertake the project.He asked us if we would like to see a couple of his projects,which we readily agreed to and were really impressed with the workmanship and general standards. It was particularly good to hear from the customers themselves and their opinions, all good we may say. One of the projects was completed and one was work in progress so we were able to appreciate the different aspects of the construction work.Our project was during the covid crisis which in itself presented its own problems, but we agreed from the outset to have regular meetings to discuss any issues such as deliveries and supplies. This worked a treat and we were never held up once.The lead worker on site was Michael Houchen, a director of the company and a genuine great person and an excellent worker. He is such a neat and tidy worker and hates mess (great for the customer) and has a great eye for detail. He has a tremendous sense of pride in his work and interacted well with both of us and fellow tradesmen.What came out throughout the project was the genuine desire, from both Simon and Michael, to provide an outstanding job which they did.Tradesmen at all times were respectful of us and our home.Michael also built us a large bookcase in the study to accommodate all our books and fitted a new front door. Both were done to a high standard.When you undertake any project, you want an excellent job that is value for money and we can genuinely say we got that. We had our garage converted into a playroom/4th bedroom with ensuite and we were delighted with the results.Simon and his team were fantastic - friendly, punctual, reliable, nothing was too much trouble. Sheffield Garage conversions recently completed the conversion of our garage and front porch into a new living room, utility and bathroom and larger entrance hall.From the outset we were impressed by the honest, straightforward advice received from Simon. Although we had a good idea of what we wanted to achieve Simon made a number of suggestions that resulted in a much better conversion and greatly improved the rooms.Michael was a pleasure to have on site. He was onsite everyday, arriving promptly each morning. He was cheerful, hardworking and kept the site clean and secure during the job. Work was complete to a high standard.The new rooms have transformed how we use our house and are now the most used in the house - it's hard to imagine not having them! Sheffield Garage Conversions did a fantastic job with my project from start to finish.Simon and Michael came out and helped me visualise what could be done with the space, and once work was underway Michael led the team. His work was excellent and the finished room is exactly as I hoped. All the workers were tidy and on-time every day and the project was completed within the 4 week window as set out in the contract. They dealt with the building inspectors and made sure everything was in order, making the whole process hassle-free. Minor snagging points were cleared up very promtly and with no fuss at all.I felt very lucky to have them working on this project and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We were really impressed with the level of service we received from Simon, Michael and their team from day one. Michael in particular was very professional, punctual and approachable, keeping us up to date throughout the project, offering advice and ensuring everything was delivered to a high standard. He also did some great bespoke work for us and went to the extra effort of making sure everything was left tidy each day. Really pleased with the end result and 100% recommend.

Just a quick note to say a huge thank you to Simon, Michael and all the other guys who did such an amazing job on our garage conversion. We had our garage converted into a music room, to house a new grand piano. We needed the room to have some sound insulation, to maintain a certain temperature and to have a solid enough floor to hold a big piano.Simon and Michael were so professional from start to finish. The quote was clear and fair, there were no hidden or extra costs once the work had begun and Simon was always super-quick to respond to any of our questions. He was very generous with his time, at every stage - explaining everything in detail and never making us feel as if time were at a premium or as if our questions were silly.During the work itself, Michael was always professional - arriving and leaving at the times he said he would, always cleaning up at the end of every day and always being polite and friendly with me and with our toddler. Both he and Simon clearly take enormous pride in their work and I felt that they genuinely wanted everything to be perfect for us. Michael built some bespoke wooden shelving for the room and his work is really beautiful and skillful.The job was finished on time (yes, really!!) and we are so happy with how it looks. Simon also recommended a good decorator, who did a really good job finishing the room off. It looks fab!
